Amy Frasca Biography

Amy Frasca is a writer, creative producer and curator of content for broadcast, digital and social media.

Broadcast Television and Digital

As a producer and content programmer, Amy has over 15 years of television experience. Amy has worked for the ABC, SBS and NINE across current affairs, arts, drama, factual, science and lifestyle programming. Amy delivers audience interaction and finds refreshing way to develop thematic ideas through the curation, commissioning and production of content for broadcast and digital.

Storytelling

From TV production to digital blogging or experiential events, Amy loves finding the story and producing for that outcome. As a writer, Amy started out in breakfast Radio, writing the national news for a 2Day FM affiliate. Her journalistic instincts lead her to television documentary and factual content where she honed her skills as a storyteller and a producer who can scope and deliver creative outcomes in diverse and challenging contexts. She has written, produced and directed for SBS TV, ABC, NINE, ARTE, France5, RTE and The History Channel UK.

Social Media and Audience Engagement

Digital storytelling, micro blogging and messaging for brands on social media platforms is a significant part of Amy’s tool kit. Amy has worked with heritage media brands to develop and be their voice on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and in other social media contexts. She has contributed to the digital experience for ABC International’s Australia Network, SBS Independent, Beyond Television Distribution and Optus. For the ABC Amy has lead numerous audience research studies, built personas and devised ways to design content experiences across platforms.

In Memorandum - Matt White - Producer, Ariel Media.

Previously, Ariel Media was a collaboration between Amy Frasca and fellow producer Matt White. In 2015 Matt White was diagnosed with cancer, following a hugely successful period of work producing in LA. Matt returned home to Sydney, to receive treatment but tragically passed away, surrounded by loving friends who will miss him always, but will be forever in our hearts.

In honour of our collaboration and friendship, I wish to leave Matt's filmography on this page, as a celebration of a creative life, well lived.
